Our Datacenter AYSEL
does not own any datacenter but we have dedicated servers from five different
datacenter (most of them are shared with other hosting partners) and none of
them are from Sri Lanka. We have our servers up-to-date and our servers are
monitored 24/7 by our expert network engineers to ensure maximum security and
uptime for our customers' servers. We use best of breed equipment like Dell™
PowerEdge and HP ProLiant™ Servers, Cisco™ & Foundry™ Firewalls, Routers,
premium, bandwidth and Cable & Wireless. These centers are designed to stay up
and running, protected from power failure, physical intrusion and network
outages by extensive back-up power and cooling systems, multi-layered security,
and network redundancy and diversity. Our Data Centers are connected to the
Internet using the highest performing backbone.
Our Network Studies
have shown that the most common reason for downtime is circuit failure on Tier 1
provider backbones, the major data highways. To guard against this potential
problem, we have two Tier-1 providers. If one experiences problems, we can route
traffic down another one. Furthermore, because we are OnNet with Level(3) and
Qwest, we share their digital distribution architecture, which includes private
peering network connections to major Internet carriers such as MCI, Sprint,
UUNET, EUNET, AT&T, AOL, Best, Erols, @Home, IBM Advantis and others. These
private peering arrangements allow MATRIX WEBHOSTING to quickly and efficiently
exchange packets of data with every major backbone carrier in a one-to-one
environment.

Our
Security Security
is provided 24x7 and includes guards, closed-circuit monitors, alarmed doors
with secure card-key access, biometric scanner, "man-trap" restricted access to
the data floor and options for locking equipment enclosures (cabinets or cages).
Guards maintain access to the loading dock and access requires a card key.
Security personnel also monitor the building. Building and environmental alarms
are monitored 24x7 by our staff and remotely by the Network Operations Center.
Our Power Our IDCs
are designed for 90W/sq ft of conditioned floor space. Most have dual (2N)
Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS), each with multiple modules synchronized to
work in unison or independently. UPS systems receive power from both commercial
power feeders and standby generators and are designed to support a fully loaded
center for 15 minutes via its internal battery plant.
In case of a commercial power failure, banks of diesel generators in an N+1
design (at full load) provide power to the center within one minute of a
commercial power outage. The one-minute gap is covered by the UPS battery system
to ensure no impact on equipment. During an extended commercial power outage,
the diesel generators provide power using the fuel securely stored on site. Fuel
suppliers are on standby to provide additional service.
Our Fire
Suppression & Detection Smoke
detection is delivered using state-of-the-art VESDA (air sampling) smoke
detection and alarm system. VESDA systems are 100 times more sensitive than
conventional fire detection systems. Detectors are grouped into zones. Fire
suppression is via a pre-action dry pipe system. Once one or more detectors
sense smoke, the fire alarm panel opens the deluge valve to fill the sprinkler
piping with water. In case of an actual fire, the seal on the sprinkler head
will melt and discharge water on the affected area.
Our
Cooling The IDCs
have multiple chillers and Computer Room AC (CRAC) units to provide air
conditioning to meet AT&T N+1 redundancy requirements. The CRAC units are
strategically located near the racks to deliver temperature and humidity
conditioned air to maintain a room temperature in the range of 75°F. Chilled air
is distributed via 30 inch raised floor air plenum, which provides maximum
flexibility for increased power and cooling requirements.
Our Cable
Distribution The
raised floor also houses the under-floor power and low-voltage cable
distribution system. This is an extensive network of intra-building cable and
wiring that supports both power cables as well as low voltage telco wiring in
sub-floor ladder-racking.
Our Multiple Gateway
Our
Standby Servers We keep
spare servers online of all CPU configurations. If a server were to experience a
hardware failure, we would turn a key, grab the handle on the drive, pull it out
and insert it into an identical standby CPU. We would then reboot the second
machine, and the server would be up and running again in a matter of minutes.
Server
Anti-Virus Protection As
hackers continue to come out with new strains of viruses in attempts to
compromise servers, one way to try to stay protected is with anti-virus
software. With specific Managed Services Plans, we will install and monitor
licensed McAfee or Norton anti-virus tools to help protect your server.
